The IS-21 appears in a 2nd generation. New with 6 electronic relays, BlueTooth as standard (and maintenance app for operating personnel) and an improved internal clock (1 PPM oscillator). An improved contact strip has also been added to make installation easier.
With the ISC-32, this device now offers a standard bus that enables HATs (hardware attached on top) to be plugged in. Various additional functions are currently available: NB-IoT module, RS-485 or additional digital relays.
This opens up many new areas of application. In addition to public clocks, which can now be fully digitized, the IS-21 is now also convincing in applications where precise power consumption must be measured or many end devices must be controlled.
